I am attorney Brock Benjamin, and I am one of a select group of criminal law specialists in the state. I am board-certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and I handle a variety of criminal defense cases in state and federal courts for clients in El Paso and the surrounding communities in Texas and New Mexico.
I am a former U.S. Army Ranger and am familiar with military law and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). I am also a 10.0 Superb-rated Avvo™ lawyer, and I was the valedictorian of my 2005 Thurgood Marshall School of Law graduating class. I am still active in the legal community, serving as a leader in several associations, and I take pride in representing members of the military.
Why am I different? I am different because I spend the time to meet with clients and listen to them. I make sure that I return calls and emails and keep clients informed when they have questions. See testimonials. I charge a consultation fee and a reasonable fee to represent people because I want to provide personalized representation.
Another reason I'm different is because I try cases. I tried 10 cases in 2014. Two of which were federal case. I have a careful in-depth discussion with clients as to why the should not plea to a lot of cases when the State/ Government won't dismiss. That has resulted in 9 acquittals in 2014 out of 10 cases that were tried. The last one was tried because the client insisted and her sentence was 1/3 of what the federal sentencing guidelines recommended.
